The United Methodist Church building, over 100 years old, several times rebuilt, was in need of serious structural help. New beams and posts were inserted into the center of the sanctuary to support the sagging roof. Additional post-and-beam support frames the opening to the choir area. The old “spirit window,” obliterated by previous remodelings, was connected to the sanctuary by a deep angled shaft following the diamond of the window.
