The open wound of a parking
area amid medium-rise office and residential structures was replaced
with this group of townhouses, redefining the street front and the city
block. The design of the houses, down to the brick and woodwork,
reinforces the traditional image of the historic small town. The
improvement and revitalization of the downtown environment was recognized
by the city of Decatur by presentation of an award to the developer
and the architect.
